Sydney Motorcycle Expo 2008

It is time of the year for the annual Sydney motorcycle expo at the Olympic Park show grounds and I was looking forward to getting to it for the fist time. Since I owned a couple of motorbike websites and ride dirt bikes for fun I really was excited to see the expo. I was looking forward to viewing the latest 2009 Honda 450crf as well as the Kawasaki equivalent. Plus all the latest road and dirt bikes would also be great to see.

With my camera I jumped on a train to the expo. I picked up tickets at the door which It cost less than $20 to get in. After taking a few photos of the first bikes I came across I then took a walk down to the coffee store. On the way there was a giveaway promotion on the stage nearby. I walked closer hoping that they might throw me one of the free hats.

I purchased a pie and coke to eat and sat down. After the overcooked dry pie (yes the food was very limited) and coke I walked to the outside after hearing of an announcement that the MX riders would be showing off some jumping moves outside.

After managing to wrangle a high spot in the small stand it was time for some action photography and the camera was set for full blast speed. The show was great and noisy.

Back into the expo and I made my way towards the Honda stand and got my first glimpse in real of the new 450CRF 2009 model. It looked as great as I had seen on pics and it just begged to be ridden.

Some nice bikes were seen from BMW, Suzuki and KTM. The Kawasaki enduro range also looked hot.

Here are some of the pictures I took below:
